A round table entitled "Smart Energy in Rural Areas" was held in Osijek on 12 October 2018 at the International Conference on Smart Systems and Technologies (SST) 2018.
 

 

A round table entitled "Smart Energy in Rural Areas" was held in Osijek on 12 October 2018 at the International Conference on Smart Systems and Technologies (SST) 2018. The round table was opened by the moderator Professor Damir Šljivac, PhD with a presentation on smart energy concepts in rural areas. After that, Assistant Professor Danijel Topić, PhD presented the RuRES project and thus far achieved results.

 

 

The round table was continued by Professor Zoltan Gal, PhD with a presentation on rural and local development based on renewable energies and Assistant Professor Krešimir Fekete, PhD with a presentation on energy technologies for rural areas. Matej Žnidarec, MEng continued with a presentation on the development of FERIT microgrid while Professor Denis Pelin, PhD continued with smart emulation of photovoltaic systems. The last two presentations were entitled “Experiences in renewable energy sources integration in rural distribution grid”, given by Associate Professor Zvonimir Klaić, PhD and “Smart greenhouse heating” by Professor Marinko Stojkov. After the  presentations, a short discussion there was a short discussion.
