The project entitled “Renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the function of rural development – RURES"  was successfully closed during the 2 days training between 12th-13th of April.
 

 

The project entitled “Renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the function of rural development – RURES" was successfully closed during the 2 days training between 12th-13th of April. The event- where next to the organizer Kaposvár University, J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek’s Faculty of Electric Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and Faculty of Informatics, and Institute of Regional Studies Centre for Economic and Regional Studies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences represented themselves – was held in Törökkoppány. The topic of the training was the possibility of renewable energy utilization. Consequently, a forum for the local inhabitants and enterprises was established.

During the first day, the focus was placed on the inhabitants of Törökkoppány region. The attendees could hear about good practices through the domestic and Croatian examples about the rural area’s possibilities of energy utilization. In the afternoon, the focus group examination revealed the local people’s attitude regarding the renewable energy sources. Additionally, the questionnaire, whose aim is to reveal the needs and opportunities in the near future, was dealt with.

The second day targeted the expansion of the local agricultural enterprises’ experiments and knowledge. The well realized practice could be seen at Dombóvár Agro-Béta Ltd. The attendees, after an introductory presentation, could have visited the Bioenergy farm. The solar panel plantation, biogas factory, bioethanol firm and orchid garden were presented. At the end, a round-table conversation was held among István Molnár, expert, and entrepreneurs, where all questions were answered.
