The project entitled \u201cRenewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the function of rural development – RURES" was successfully closed during the 2 days training between 12th<\/sup>-13th<\/sup> of April. The event- where next to the organizer Kaposv\u00e1r University<\/a>, J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek\u2019s Faculty of Electric Engineering<\/a>, Faculty of Computer Science and Faculty of Informatics<\/a>, and Institute of Regional Studies Centre for Economic and Regional Studies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences<\/a> represented themselves – was held in T\u00f6r\u00f6kkopp\u00e1ny. The topic of the training was the possibility of renewable energy utilization. Consequently, a forum for the local inhabitants and enterprises was established.<\/p>\n During the first day, the focus was placed on the inhabitants of T\u00f6r\u00f6kkopp\u00e1ny region. The attendees could hear about good practices through the domestic and Croatian examples about the rural area\u2019s possibilities of energy utilization. In the afternoon, the focus group examination revealed the local people\u2019s attitude regarding the renewable energy sources. Additionally, the questionnaire, whose aim is to reveal the needs and opportunities in the near future, was dealt with.<\/p>\n The second day targeted the expansion of the local agricultural enterprises\u2019 experiments and knowledge. The well realized practice could be seen at Domb\u00f3v\u00e1r Agro-B\u00e9ta Ltd<\/a>. The attendees, after an introductory presentation, could have visited the Bioenergy farm. The solar panel plantation, biogas factory, bioethanol firm and orchid garden were presented.
