2-day training in the microregion of Törökkopány, April 12-13, 2018.


The so called “Renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the function of rural development” (shortly RURES) project in the frame of INTERREG Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020 was successfully closed during the 2 days training between 12th-13th of April. The event- where next to the organizer Kaposvár University, J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek’s Faculty of Electric Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and Faculty of Informatics, and also the Institute of Regional Studies Centre for Economic and Regional Studies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences represented themselves - was placed in Törökkoppány. The topic of the training was the possibility of the renewable energy’s utilization. Based on this reason, the organizers convened a forum for the local inhabitants and enterprises.

On the first day, the focus was put on the inhabitants of the Törökkoppány’s region, where the attendees could hear good practices through the domestic and Croatian examples about the rural area’s possibilities of energy utilization. In the afternoon, the focus group examination revealed the local people’s attitude connected to the renewable energy sources, besides that the questionnaire was tested, which’s aim to reveal the needs and opportunities in the near future.

The second day targeted the expansion of the local agricultural enterprises’ experiments and knowledge. The well realized practice could be seen at the Dombóvár Agro-Béta Ltd. The attendees, after an introduction presentation, could visit the Bioenergy farm. The solar panel plantation, the biogas factory, the bioethanol firm, and also the orchid garden were presented. In closing, a round-table conversation was hold among István Molnár expert and the entrepreneurs, where all of the questions were answered.
